What is HomeHail?
HomeHail is a home-services marketplace for South Florida, the Keys, and north to Orlando. Customers post what they need, see a typical price range up front, and either get matched with local pros or collect bids. We're the venue — independent local pros do the work.
How much does it cost to use?
Customers pay nothing — ever. No posting fees, no matching fees, no hiring fees. Contractors list free; a 10% marketplace fee on jobs won is part of our contractor terms but is waived entirely for a contractor's first year. Right now: no fees for anyone.
Do I need an account to browse?
No. Browse every listing, price guide, and open task without an account. You'll need a free account to view a pro's contact info, message, post a task, bid, or leave a review.
How does the price estimate work?
We maintain typical duration and price bands for nearly a hundred common home services, tuned to South Florida rates. When you post a task we show the typical range for jobs like yours, so quotes land in context. Estimates are not quotes — your price may differ.
When does a pro see my address?
Only after you both accept the job. Until then, pros see an approximate area on the map — never your address. That's built into how the platform works, not just our policy.
What does 'Public-record listing' mean?
It's a directory entry we compiled from cited public sources (like Florida's state license database) so you can find and contact local pros from day one. The business hasn't claimed it. Every such listing names its sources, and the owner can claim it — or have it removed within 48 hours, no questions asked.
How do reviews work?
First-party reviews can only be written after a job arranged on the platform is completed — so every review traces to a real job. Ratings shown from other websites are clearly labeled with their source and linked. We never mix the two.
What is Service Protection?
A planned feature for jobs booked and paid through the platform with verified pros: payment is held until the customer confirms completion, and our support team can mediate refunds of the held payment in disputes. It isn't live yet, and it will never be an open-ended guarantee of workmanship.
How do I remove my business listing?
Every public-record listing has a removal link at the bottom. File it and we hide the listing within 48 hours — no friction, no questions. See our removal policy page.
How do contractors get leads?
Pros pick their categories and service area. When a matching task is posted, they're notified and can bid free. Customers can also send a proposal directly from a pro's profile.
