Terms of Service

HomeHail (“HomeHail,” “we,” “us”) operates a marketplace and directory that connects customers seeking home services with independent service providers (“contractors”) in Florida.

We are a venue only. We do not perform, supervise, or manage services; we do not employ contractors; contractors are not our agents, and we are not theirs. Any service agreement formed through the platform is solely between the customer and the contractor.

We make no representation or warranty about the quality, safety, legality, licensure, insurance, timeliness, or outcome of any contractor’s work. Ratings, reviews, estimates, badges, and profile data are informational only and are not endorsements or guarantees.

Contractors are solely responsible for their own licensure, permits, insurance, taxes, pricing, employment obligations, and compliance with all applicable laws, including Florida contractor-licensing law. Holding a listing or badge on the platform is not a substitute for any legal requirement.

Where we display license information, we display Florida state records as published at the cited access date. Records change; verify license status independently (myfloridalicense.com) before hiring for work that requires a license.

Unclaimed listings are compiled from cited public sources for informational purposes. They are not accounts, endorsements, or business relationships. Business owners may claim their listing or request removal at any time; removal requests are honored within 48 hours. See our Removal Policy.

Customers: using HomeHail is free — no posting, matching, contact, or hiring fees, now or in the future.

Contractors: listing, receiving leads, and bidding are free. A marketplace fee of 10% of the agreed job price applies to jobs won through the platform once fee collection activates — and is waived entirely for the contractor’s first twelve (12) months after account creation. We will provide notice before any fee collection begins.

Price and duration estimates are typical ranges for comparable jobs in the region, provided for orientation only. They are not quotes, offers, or promises of price.

Until an escrow-style payment product (“Service Protection”) is offered and expressly agreed to in writing, all payments occur outside the platform and disputes between customers and contractors are between those parties. We may, at our discretion, assist with communication, but we have no obligation to mediate and no liability for user disputes. If Service Protection launches, its terms will be separate, narrow, and published in advance.

First-party reviews may be written only after a platform-arranged job is completed. You grant us a license to display content you post. We may remove content that is unlawful, deceptive, or violates these terms; we do not silently edit reviews. Third-party rating data shown on listings is attributed to its source.

Customer street addresses are disclosed only to a contractor whose job agreement with that customer has been accepted by both parties, at the moment of mutual acceptance — enforced by our systems. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

No scraping the platform, misrepresenting identity or licensure, posting false reviews, harassing users, circumventing safety features, or using the platform for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeHail is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for property damage, personal injury, or losses arising from services performed by contractors. Our total liability for any claim is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Any dispute with HomeHail will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Florida under the AAA Consumer Rules, and both parties waive participation in class actions, except either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these terms by emailing hello@homehail.com. (Subject to Florida counsel review.)

We version these terms (2026-07-18.1). Material changes require re-acceptance; we record the version and timestamp of every acceptance.
