Privacy Policy

We collect what the marketplace needs to work, we never sell personal data, and your street address is disclosed to exactly one contractor at exactly one moment: when you both accept a job.

Account basics: name, email, zip/city, role (customer or contractor), and for contractors the business details they choose to publish. Job data: requests, bids, agreements, messages, reviews, and uploads you provide. Address: customers may add a street address to finalize jobs — see below. Usage: product analytics events (pages, funnel steps) and server logs.

Your exact address is never shown publicly, never shown in browse or task listings, and never shown to bidding contractors. Task locations appear only as an approximate area. When you and a contractor both accept a job, that one contractor gains access to the address for that job — and this rule is enforced by database-level access controls, not just interface design.

We do not sell personal data. We do not give contractors customer contact lists. We do not use your messages for advertising. We do not display customer profiles publicly.

Contractor directory listings contain business information compiled from cited public sources (state license records, business registrations, businesses’ own public websites). This is commercial information published to reach customers. The sources are cited on each listing, and owners may claim or remove a listing at any time (see the Removal Policy).

We run on Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), and Anthropic (AI features processing the text of requests you submit). Each receives only what its function requires.

Transactional email (messages, bids, agreements) can be tuned or disabled per type in notification preferences. We honor List-Unsubscribe. We don’t send marketing blasts.

Delete your account and we remove your profile and personal data, retaining only what law or fraud prevention requires. Email hello@homehail.com for any data request — access, correction, or deletion.
